FELIPE LUIS has been sacked as manager of Flamengo despite his last game ending in a 8-0 win.
The Brazilian outfit triumphed over Madureira in the Carioca Championship semi-final but it was not enough for the former Chelsea star to keep his job.

Luis, 40, was sacked by the club immediately after a his press conference after the win.
His dismissal was confirmed by Flamengo with a statement on social media.
A statement read: “Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that, as of this Tuesday (3), Filipe Luís will no longer be in charge of the professional team. Ivan Palanco (assistant coach) and Diogo Linhares (physical trainer) are also leaving the club along with him.
“Flamengo thanks former player and coach Filipe Luís for everything that was achieved and shared during this journey.
“The club wishes him success and the best of luck in the continuation of his professional career.”
