FORMER Strictly Come Dancing star Tasha Ghouri has lifted the lid on the hardest year of her life – following the split from her Love Island boyfriend Andrew Le Page.
The teary TV star has admitted how severely she was trolled last year and forced to re-evaluate her career.
The 27-year-old Strictly Come Dancing finalist opened up to presenter Fleur East as part of an International Women’s Day Special.
The Hits Radio social media post read: “‘Kindness is free’. Tasha Ghouri opens up about life in the public eye and dealing with social media trolls.
“This week on the Rayo app, listen to our special show for International Women’s Day supporting The King’s Trust and the Change A Girl’s Life campaign.”
Fleur asked: “Everyone knows that being on a public platform, you get so much scrutiny.
“You have to deal with things that are said about you in the media. How have you dealt with that?”
Getting visibly upset, Tasha admitted: “Oh, it’s tough. It’s tough. Last year was actually the hardest year for that.
“I don’t want to get emotional… sorry. It still gets to me.
“I’ve been three years in the industry, and it still gets to me. I see comments of ableism to this day – I still get that.
“Last year was the hardest, I lost myself completely. I was in the depths and it got to the point where I stopped loving what I was doing.”
Addressing her split with Love Island co-star Andrew, she said: “Then to go through such hardship, going through a public breakup – it was tough.
“I had to really try and find my happiness again, which I have now.
“I’ve got an amazing partner, Cam, and I truly feel like I’m radiating from inside because I had to go through that battle with trolls online.
“Kindness is free and I think people forget that.”
The Strictly runner-up has been subjected to cruel comments online which have only heightened with her fame.
The King’s Trust commented: “Such an amazing interview and spotlight with our Change a Girl’s Life Ambassador Tasha.
“Thank you for highlighting the importance of supporting young women.”
Tasha and Andrew found love on the ITV2 dating show in 2022.
It was confirmed last January that Andrew and Tasha had parted ways after three years.
Their break-up came shortly after Tasha appeared on Strictly Come Dancing alongside pro Aljaž Škorjanec.
When her romance with the Love Islander ended – she signed up to celebrity dating app Raya.
Andrew previously accused Tasha of cheating on him and joining the site while they were still together.
His explosive comments came after Tasha opened up about finding love again on Rylan Clark’s BBC podcast, How To Be In Love, where she also said she wanted to reconnect with Andrew for closure.
In a statement posted on Instagram, Andrew said: “The truth is… she went on Raya while we were still together… oops.
“No one is perfect in a relationship but you keep talking s*** about me, I’ll start talking.
“She did one too many podcasts unfortunately. This is your closure chat.”
He later backed down and said in another statement: “Things were said on both sides, but at the end of the day, no relationship is perfect, but ours still had some incredible moments I’ll always be grateful for.”
She is now loved up with her very own “Dr. Dolittle” following her split from Andrew.
The Strictly Come Dancing finalist is in a happy relationship with Cam Whitnall, who is the managing director of The Big Cat Sanctuary.
Along with his two brothers, Aaron and Tyler, animal-lover Cam created a TV series, One Zoo Three, for CBBC which followed them as they worked on the site.
The model previously opened up about her relationship with Cam and revealed she had first ‘slid into his DMs’.
