Dianne confirmed that she would be returning to Strictly this year and will be getting a celebrity partner.

While many fans shared their excitement for the couple, some were concerned about her safety while on the dance show.

However, an insider has insisted that Dianne is fully aware of the limitations she may have and is approaching it with caution.

They said: “Diane would never have turned down Strictly.

“She is making history as the first pregnant star to dance on the show.

“She’s full of enthusiasm and raring to go.

“She’s been giving it her all in rehearsals and is very aware of what she can and can’t do.

“Like the true pro she is, she knows where her limitations will be when it comes to lifts and more complex moves.

“She’s an incredibly active person and it’s important for her to stay fit and exercise throughout this pregnancy, if Dianne wasn’t on the show, she’d still be dancing late into her pregnancy.”

Dianne, who won Strictly last year with Chris McCausland, is said to be eyeing up a spot in the final again this year.

Strictly’s Dianne Buswell breaks down in tears as she hits back at the judges over partner Chris McCausland

“She’s hoping she can lift the Glitterball Trophy once again and her mind is firmly set on making it to the finals,” the insider said.

“She’ll be taking it easy when she can and of course with any pro and celeb, Strictly takes duty of care very seriously.

“She’ll be taking extra precautions in rehearsals to make sure she’s safe, if that means longer breaks then that’s what she’ll do.

“She’s going to give it 100 per cent as she always does and will give her celebrity partner her all.”

The Sun have reached out to BBC for comment.

It comes after Dianne opened up about being the first pregnant star to compete on the show after getting the okay from her doctor.

She said: “I’m still doing everything I did before. Obviously with lifts there’s going to be a bit more caution.

“But my doctor has said everything is normal.

“He said, basically, if you’ve done it before, in terms of being a dancer and you’ve done this, done that, then crack on and keep doing what you’re doing.”

Dianne admitted on her and Chris McCausland’s podcast, Winning Isn’t Everything, that she doesn’t foresee herself doing huge lifts with her celebrity partner that she’s been given this year.

Chris quipped: “You can’t see yourself getting past three weeks then?”

Dianne joked: “No,” before adding: “But you look at the dynamic of the partnership and you can see straight away.

“A lot of partnerships don’t do many lifts, if that’s what is best for the partnership.”

Joe and Dianne shared the news in a sweet video earlier this week, sending fans into a frenzy.

Dianne and Joe first met in 2018 when they were partnered together on the sixteenth series of Strictly

Their on-screen chemistry carried them all the way to the final, and soon blossomed into a romance.

The pair confirmed their relationship shortly after the series ended and moved in together the following year.

Now, with a new series of Strictly about to begin, Dianne is preparing to juggle motherhood with one of TV’s most demanding schedules.

Dianne admitted in May she had recently become broody after spending time with their nieces and nephews.

It comes after her exclusive interview with The Sun on Sunday, where she said: “I would like to have children, 100 per cent.

“Joe and I love kids, and that’s definitely something that we would absolutely love. I haven’t really thought about how many I would like. It will definitely happen.”
