LA VOIX is winning over everyone on Strictly – except, perhaps, Tess Daly, whose wardrobe she tears to shreds every week.
But it seems the drag performer did not think she’d get very far in the BBC One dance show because she’s booked do panto before the final.
La Voix will be appearing in Jack And The Beanstalk at Wycombe Swan Theatre from December 12, though the Strictly final is not until December 20. She said: “Doing panto and Strictly at the same time is absolutely bonkers, but then again, so am I.
“One minute I’m high-kicking in heels for Strictly, the next I’m belting out jokes and glitter in panto. It’s exhausting, exhilarating, and exactly how I like it — fabulous chaos.”
A TV insider added: “It will be a massive challenge to be doing both shows at the same time, but it seems she’s in the midst of a bittersweet surprise because so far she’s being backed by the public.”
La Voix, who is partnered with pro Aljaz Skorjanec, has never been in the bottom two of voting since this series started in September.
She was, however, bottom of the scoreboard after a poor performance nearly three weeks ago.
But, overall, it seems her quick wit, self-deprecation and hard work have endeared her to the public and judges.
But that may not be enough to help her when she starts Jack And The Beanstalk, which she’ll appear in alongside Radio 2 DJ Scott Mills.
At least she’s playing Dame Trott so won’t have to make too many changes to her wardrobe and make-up for Strictly.
JON’S SOAKSIEST MAN ALIVE
HE’S already won the wet-shirt contest in Bridgerton, now the famous moment has helped Jonathan Bailey become People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2025.
After appearing as Anthony Bridgerton in the Netflix period drama, he went on to play the wizard prince in Wicked as well as starring in Jurassic World: Rebirth.
Not bad, considering he’s still only 37.
Talking about getting the title – the first time a Brit has won it since Idris Elba in 2018 – he said: “It’s a huge honour. Obviously I’m incredibly flattered. And it’s completely absurd.
“It’s been a secret, so I’m quite excited for some friends and family to find out.”
He keeps quiet about his love life but did discuss what his favourite type of date is. He added: “It totally depends. I love a walk, I do love dinner, theatre, films. It depends what number date. You know, if it’s like date 100, then, like, Lego and pizza.
“Some of my best dates have been Lego dates.”
MICHELLE YEOH replaces US actor Colman Domingo on Friday night’s The Graham Norton Show.
The Wicked star will join Glen Powell, Rosamund Pike and Jack Whitehall on the red sofa. While Ed Sheeran is the music guest. The show airs at 10.40pm on BBC One.
NAT’S NO TO IRISH COP GIG
CHANNEL 5 wanted EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy to take centre stage in a new detective series.
It would have been her first major role since she left the BBC One soap in April, after 32 years playing Sonia Fowler.
But the mum of two turned it down because it was being filmed in Ireland and she didn’t want to be away from home for so long.
She said: “It was a lovely part for a detective series and I thought ‘My god this is a main part!’. But it was seven weeks in Ireland. I have got two children. I am not going to Ireland for seven weeks am I?
“Family comes first with me. I cannot travel that long away.”
Just when you thought you couldn’t love her any more . . .
MATCH Of The Day’s Gabby Logan is set to host Have I Got News For You for the first time on November 21.
She said: “I’m thrilled – it’s literally been a 20-year career goal. I was once a guest on Ian (Hislop’s) team but I’m looking forward to trying to keep him and Pau (Merton) in line.”
DAMIEN’S BACK TO HIS BEAT
DAMIEN MOLONY is back to his smouldering best as complex Jim Bergerac as the Jersey detective returns for a second series.
Filming has wrapped on the UKTV revival of classic cop show Bergerac after a record-breaking debut last year.
Damien is once again joined by Zoe Wanamaker as Charlie Hungerford, Robert Gilbert as Barney Crozier and Chloe Sweetlove as Kim Bergerac.
Plus Adrian Edmondson joins as Nigel, a charming new arrival in Charlie’s life.
Series two will see Jim starting to put his life back together and begin dating Nicola, a visitor to Jersey.
However, before the relationship has time to blossom, Jim is pulled back into his next big case.
And when he starts to unravel old secrets, more skeletons come to light, making this his most intricate case yet.
The new run lands in 2026.
