Strictly fans left furious over shock elimination and claim they know the ‘real reason’ La Voix was saved

STRICTLY Come Dancing fans have been left furious over the latest shock elimination – and reckon they’ve sussed the “real reason” La Voix was saved.

Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, 37, and professional partner Karen Hauer, 43, were given the boot following a nail-biting Dance Off on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, a Strictly spoiler leaked the unexpected outcome.

Yet on Sunday’s results show, viewers saw La Voix and partner Aljaz Skorjanec saved by the judges after performing their Foxtrot for a second time.

Sadly Harry – who was slammed for flashing his abs in his Samba – was sent home after enjoying his final dance with Karen.

As well as performing in the series, may show fans reckon La Voix is being lined up for the show’s hosting role.

NEW GIG?

Strictly star backs Celeb Traitors winner Alan Carr to replace Tess and Claudia

The Traitors presenter Claudia Winkleman, 53, alongside her Strictly sidekick Tess Daly, 56, announced their plans to step down from their iconic BBC telly role last month – leaving a vacancy on the show.

And some fans reckon this is the reason the drag queen remains in the show.

One took to X to write: “La Voix?? Is that because she’s being lined up as a future presenter?”

Another put: “100 per cent La Voix and Aljaž should have gone home. Harry and Karen were definitely the better dancers.

“The judges are clearly only saving La Voix because she’s going to be the new Strictly Come Dancing presenter.”

A third then put: “I agreed, I was shocked they were all in consensus.”

NEXT ROLE?

Earlier in the series, La Voix made a play for Claudia Winkleman’s job live on air.

Claudia and Tess made history as primetime television’s first female presenting duo when they paired up to co-host the show in 2014.

Both had been part of Strictly since 2004, Tess hosting the main show with Bruce Forsyth and Claudia on spin-off It Takes Two.

Shortly after her Cher-themed Salsa in Icons Week, La Voix headed to see Claudia for feedback.

All your Strictly Come Dancing winners

Strictly first kicked off back in 2004, and over the years has crowned 21 winners.

Alongside her professional dance partner Aljaz, La Voix made a pitch for Claudia’s plum telly role and quipped: “Claudia, while I’ve got you, do you know the address when you send your CV to the BBC?

“Just in case any new jobs are coming up.

“Just asking for a friend.”

Claudia, going off script, burst into giggles and said: “Give it a go, babe!”

Dressed in all-black for her stint as the Believe songstress, she then did the handover to the main studio and said: “Tess.”

Fans on social media were in stitches with one taking to X to post: “La Voix stealing the entire show with one single word omfg forget the glitter ball, give her the job.”

Previously, fans have told how they believe it is “so obvious” La Voix is a shoo in for the vacancy.

La Voix – known off-stage as Christopher Dennis – previously told The Sun: “The Strictly gig is any TV presenter’s dream role.
