STEVEN GERRARD has been tipped to take charge at Wrexham following his short spell in Saudi Arabia.
The Liverpool legend swapped the shores of Blighty for the riches of the Middle East when he joined Al-Ettifaq in 2023.
But Gerrard left the Saudi side in January after just 18 months.
And the ex-Rangers and Aston Villa boss has been left waiting for his next managerial gig ever since.
Now, Gerrard is being linked with a move to Hollywood-backed Wrexham.
The Welsh side are owned by Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, and have climbed from the National League to the Championship.
But despite spending £33million this summer, Wrexham find themselves 21st in the table with just one win from five games.
The pressure is now building on Phil Parkinson after he added big names like Nathan Broadhead, Ben Sheaf and Callum Doyle to his squad.
Now, Manchester United legend Bryan Robson reckons Gerrard would be a perfect fit for Wrexham.
He hopes that Parkinson still gets more time in the job after leading Wrexham to the second flight.

But Robson feels that Gerrard would be extremely interested in taking charge should the opportunity arise.
He told OLBG: “It’s whether Steve wants to get back into the game. He’s had a good experience in Saudi but a job like that would definitely interest him if he does want back in.
“I think Wrexham should give Phil a bit more time because he’s done a great job for them.
“They’ve done fantastic to get from where they were to into the Championship in a short period of time.
“If they can consolidate in the Championship, even finish mid-table, that would be a really good season from where they’ve come from.
“The charisma the US lads have is fantastic, and Wrexham have a good fan base that will get right behind them so there’s always a good atmosphere.
“Then with the sponsorship Ryan Reynolds has brought in, that can only hold the club in good stead.”
