STACEY Solomon’s sister Jemma has made a very “scary” life decision as she announced her plan to close her business after six years.
Jemma Solomon, 37, has admitted she and her partner will “no longer have a job” and recognised that her husband Lee, is “very nervous” about it.
However, the busy mum recognised that she believes saying “goodbye” to her home-organisation business will be “wholesomely positive in the long run.”
Posting on social media, Stacey Solomon’s sister Jemma – founder of The Label Lady – showed off the “giant mess” of her business’ HQ as she candidly shared her “selfish decision” to shut down her company.
She said: “Hi everyone, welcome to the HQ. I have a little something to tell you all, something that I’ve been holding on to for a little while now, something that I’ve been a bit nervous to tell you all about but I know that I am doing the right thing, the best thing and something that is gonna be wholesomely positive in the long run.
“It is time to say goodbye to The Label Lady and I say it with a smile and not with sadness because for the past six years, this [office] has been, our house has been our home too, but this has been our home.

“It’s a giant mess at the minute because we are on top of Christmas but it has been a place where both me, Lee and our family and staff have loved working and just built the best community, not just with ourselves but also with you guys too.
“I know there’s gonna be a lot of questions but I really wanna address this in the most wholesomely positive way.”
The Essex-based entrepreneur, who just days ago was reported to have had a “struggle year,” explained that she and her husband Lee have had “the most amazing run” with their business for the past six years.
She added: “We employed people through one of the hardest times, my staff that are here now have been absolutely incredible. They have been with me on this journey, they are fully aware of this journey and they are well looked after into 2026, so they are staying with me right until our last day.
“I also have had the most amazing opportunity where I gained an investment from Lord Sugar and with Lord Sugar came a team of support, people that helped me to learn how to pay people and employ through payroll and how to import and how to manage spreadsheets of money that I just looked at with absolute fear.”
The mum-of-three then recognised: “I am so thankful for that journey because I have had a small business alongside me working for as long as I can remember.
“I’m sure I’ve told you before, I made cakes and I did event decorating, we did it on our weekends, we’ve never just had one job, we’ve always had a job and had 10 others on the side.
“This one just happened to blow up quicker than we could ever have imagined and you know, we took our family on a right old journey.
“Our family, especially our children, they’ve seen this from the ground upwards and you know, many a day did they spend in the HQ and many a night too – we used to have sleepovers here.”
Maybe it is a selfish decision on my behalf, but I would like to give it a go and I’ve always been a great believer of if you don’t try, you will never ever know

Reflecting on her journey with her crafting business, Jemma explained: “I’ve learnt so much, it has just been the most incredible journey and I suppose the most important thing is that none of it would have been possible if it wasn’t for your support and I am forever grateful for that.
“While there is change that’s gonna happen and while it could be looked at sadly, I don’t wanna look at this sadly.
“I’m just so proud of everything we’ve done and I know change is scary and I’m good with change, I really embrace it.”
As she turned to Lee, Jemma continued: “Lee’s very nervous. I suppose it’s scary saying we will no longer have a job, it’s a weird feeling isn’t it?
“But it is a positive and not a negative and I just want to thank you guys all so much for every single bit of support you’ve given us, because without that we we wouldn’t have what we have today and yes, it has to come to an end but with all endings there is a new beginning.”
Holiday packing tips
Jemma Solomon, aka The Label Lady has got 5 packing tips to help you get organised for your next holiday.
1. Write a list
Think about all the essentials you need to take with you; suncream, medicine, a few games for the kids, beach towels, and write everything in one list, which you can tick off as you add it to your suitcase.
Or for complete ease, try Google’s AI app – Gemini – which will create a list for you and help you not over pack.
2. Involve your kids
Jemma said: “My girls are getting older, they’re 11 and nine, and they enjoy helping to pack. So I send them a list, and say ‘this is what you need’ and they follow the list.
“And then I give them a rucksack each – and say to them ‘you can have whatever you want in there as long as it’s not liquid’, and they can take that on the plane. And that’s their ‘home away from home’ items.”
3. Try a hack or two
She said: “I think they all work, but for different reasons – and you’ve just got to pick the right one for your trip.
“Rolling your clothes is really good to stop your clothes from getting creases. And if you’re trying to get a lot of items into your case, it’s a space saver.
“Packing cubes are great – for example, I’m going on holiday with my three kids and we’re all using the same suitcase for our clothes.
“These handy compartments let you separate your clothes, toiletries and tech into designated cubes, maximising luggage space by keeping your items compressed and neatly stacked.
“I love taking them abroad with the family and it means my kids can easily take charge of their own items once we’ve arrived.”
4. Decant beauty products
Do you really need to take full-size bottles of shampoo and conditioner with you? The beauty industry has evolved so much, you can now buy shampoo bars or sheets – which are much lighter and smaller.
Or, if you’ll be popping to the shops when you’re abroad, consider buying some items when you arrive.
5. Get organised before you come home
Jemma said: “When you repack on holiday [before coming home], the trick is to separate clean from dirty clothes.
“Also pack it in some form of order – so lights, darks, colours for items that need washing, or if you wash your clothes by person in the household, piles for each person.
“Then you can put it straight into the washing machine. Do it straight away, don’t leave it.”
As she fought back tears, the brunette admitted: “I will be honest, we don’t quite know what that new beginning is yet and we are gonna be a little bit selfish – well, I am gonna be a little bit selfish because as my children have got bigger, I would like to be there for them a little bit more in a way that I haven’t been able to be since they were little.
“We both have worked extremely long hours crossing paths since they’ve been babies and I would like the opportunity, I’ve found a few ways of working where I can be there a little bit more for them.
“So maybe it is a selfish decision on my behalf, but I would like to give it a go and I’ve always been a great believer of if you don’t try, you will never ever know.
You guys have changed our whole lives, you really did and I’m just so grateful
Jemma Solomon
“So, changes will start to happen over the next couple of weeks. I can no longer be called The Label Lady, so we will embrace that change, and for the minute I’ll just be called Jemma because that is my name and I don’t know what else to call myself at the minute.”
Sharing her upcoming plans with fans, Jemma acknowledged: “We’ve got so much going on next year – we’ve got a whole house to build, we’ve got new ideas, you know, so change is gonna happen.
“You’ll be seeing a lot more of me and I hope that’s a good thing and I totally understand if this is also an end to a journey for you guys with me because it will be something very different from what you first signed up for and followed me for and I 100% get that and I’m not at all cross at that.
“You guys have changed our whole lives, you really did and I’m just so grateful.
“I’ve got great relationships with all the girls here, a great relationship with Lord Sugar and his team, we’re gonna miss them so much and you know, I’m sure in the future I’ll be back going, ‘I’ve got another idea, can you have me back again?’ and hopefully with that will come great positive change.”
Discussing the days ahead, Jemma added: “We are opening the HQ Monday and Tuesday, so we will be here to answer any questions or anything like that.
“We will then close for Christmas, like we do every single year, and then in January we will be doing a complete clearance of everything that we we possibly own, so that will be a crazy, crazy month and then please God, at the end of January, it will officially be goodbye to The Label Lady.
“But from the first of January, it will be hello to me and the start of new beginnings and I really hope that lots of you stay around and we still get to be how we are everyday now.
“So one last goodbye from us, for now, just to say have a magical Christmas and thank you for every single person who has ever made an order and who has something of ours that will live in your home forever.”
