A SPERM bank is making donors take an IQ test.
Donor Network said it was “raising the bar in the fertility industry” as more parents demanded brainy babies.

The Danish clinic, which exports much of its sperm to the UK for use by British women, said it was the first in Europe to introduce “IQ screening”.
A spokesman said: “Up to 80 per cent of a child’s IQ is inherited genetically.
“The new screening results are available to British clients alongside each donor’s health history, family background and physical traits.”
Clinic founder and chief exec Jakob Schöllhammer Knudsen said: “IQ screening is a major attraction.
“We’ve tapped into a clear gap in the market.
“For anyone undergoing fertility treatment, the choice of donor isn’t a small detail — it’s a crucial decision.
Most of our clients are surprised to learn that IQ screening isn’t standard practice at all sperm banks.”
Eleanor Mills-Hicks and her partner Zoe Stock, from Devon, selected their donor through the Danish clinic.
Zoe said: “Knowing that the donor’s IQ is tested gives us confidence that everything possible has been done to ensure both good health and personality.”
