Sophie Ellis Bextor put on a truly dazzling display on Saturday when she made an unexpected appearance at Reading Festival.
The singer, 46, joined Aussie duo Royel Otis to perform her iconic 2001 single Murder on the Dancefloor.
Sophie looked incredible in a silver, black and gold mini-dress emblazoned with the word disco.
Keeping to the disco theme of the song that made her a household name, the singer paired the dress with a shimmering light blue cape.
She kept it cool in the August heat, wearing her hair back with a red lip and a smokey eye.
After performing with the iconic noughties hitmaker, Royel Otis played several tracks from their newly released album, Hickey.

Sophie’s music has made a dramatic comeback after featuring in the hit film 2023 Saltburn.
And the Murder On the Dancefloor hitmaker has barely aged since her 2001 smash hit single.
Appearing on The Kyle and Jackie O Show last year, she said she loved Saltburn so much when she went to see it that she forgot why she was at the screening.
‘I was very entertained. So much so I forgot that I was there because the song [Murder On the Dancefloor] was involved,’ she said.
‘I’d gone along on a weekday morning to this advance screening and I’d taken along my whole family…my husband, my brother, my mum, and my eldest boy,’ the singer added.
Saltburn features several very racy scenes, and Ellis-Bextor’s song plays over an extended sequence in which the film’s star Barry Keoghan dances nude.
The chat comes as the singer revealed she doesn’t suffer from ‘mum guilt’ despite her busy job not always allowing her to be present for her five children.
Sophie told MailOnline that after years of working relentlessly hard for her music career she has finally given herself permission to enjoy it, rather than worry over the times she was absent from her family.

Becky Hill, 31, also performed at Reading Festival today and interestingly featured with Sophie on the 2021 soundtrack of the film Everybody’s Talking About Jamie

Like Sophie, Becky had a striking outfit and wore a pair of denim cargo pants and a matching denim crop top

Now Sophie hopes that her kids, two of whom are teenagers, will be inspired by her drive as she says that being a working mother in fact makes her a better parent.
The pop star revealed that her 20-year-old son has moved out of their family home to live with her mother, Janet Ellis, 69.
She described the new arrangement as ‘wholesome.’
Reflecting on falling pregnant with Sonny just six weeks after she started dating musician husband Richard Jones, 45, Sophie says that their life together has always been as a three.
But after adding to their family, with the married couple of 19 years sharing five sons together, Sophie revealed that they are content watching them grow up and having a sixth is out of the question.
As well as Sonny, the couple are parents to Kit, 15, Ray, 11, Jesse, 9, and their youngest, Mickey, five.
