A SOMALI migrant wanted in the UK for “repeatedly raping” his teenage stepsister has been arrested after stepping off a plane in Germany.
The 26-year-old suspect – a Dutch national born in Somalia – has been wanted by the UK on an international arrest warrant since December 2023.
German federal police said in a statement: “Based on a search notice, officers of the Federal Police arrested a 26-year-old Dutch citizen at Frankfurt am Main Airport.”
The police statement added: “He is accused of having repeatedly raped his 13-year-old stepsister in 2020.”
He is alleged to have committed the offences while living in the UK.
Cops swooped on the suspect directly after the long-haul flight landed in Germany from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The police statement continued: “He was subsequently brought before the competent custody judge in Frankfurt am Main.”
The man, whose name was not revealed, was taken into custody at the airport as investigations continue.
Because he has the right to contest extradition, the transfer to UK authorities could take between 10 and 60 days.
Authorities emphasized that these timelines are standard in extradition cases.
Separately, another suspect wanted for rape was arrested in Germany earlier this week.
A 21-year-old Belgian man was extradited from Germany to the Netherlands on Monday.
He is accused of attempting to rape a woman on an Amsterdam night bus in June 2025.
After seven months on the run, German authorities tracked him down.
He was formally handed over to Dutch authorities to face prosecution.
