IT has been a predictably quiet transfer window for Manchester United and Ruben Amorim’s New Year sacking hasn’t changed that.
The likelihood is it would’ve remained that way had Amorim not fallen out with Jason Wilcox.

United are yet to conduct a single piece of first-team business despite going through three different figures in the dugout.
Some players have come back into the fold under Darren Fletcher and Michael Carrick with little-to-no noticeable transfer action in or out of Carrington.
Joshua Zirkzee, 24, interested Roma but SunSport revealed months ago that United were likely to block his possible departure.
Zirkzee is also currently injured, which all but kills any lingering chance of him leaving United this month.
The expectation is that he will be sold in the summer.
With a near-fully fit squad and a sparser schedule now that United are out of the FA Cup, there is little need for the club to bolster their squad this month.
United will instead go all-out for at least one major midfield signing in the summer.

Adam Wharton and Carlos Baleba are among those thought to be of interest to the club.
In the meantime, United have rejigged their loanees.
There was a surprising deal for Harry Amass on Saturday as he moved just FOUR places up the Championship to Norwich City.
Amass excelled at basement club Sheffield Wednesday and a move higher up the ladder was anticipated yet he settled for 20th-placed Norwich.
Wednesday, already hit by two points deductions, are expected to lose more players before the transfer deadline and Amass was concerned that the squad upheaval would have affected his momentum.
Half the clubs in the Championship expressed interest in the 18-year-old left back, who considered his next move carefully before opting for Norwich.
That is about as far as excitement goes with the only transfer activity at United over the next week is likely to be small fry.
A number of youngsters have had their season-long loans cut short amid a lack of playing time
Joe Hugill, Ethan Wheatley, Louis Jackson, Elyh Harrison, Habeeb Ogunneye and Sonny Aljofree could be on the move again having returned to the club.
