SIX children were pulled from the water in a major incident at a UK beach after getting into “serious difficulty”.
The coastguard raced to Aberavon Beach near Neath Port Talbot, South Wales, on Sunday.
Port Talbot Coastguard Rescue responded to multiple reports that the children were in “serious difficulty” in the water.
They rescued three children who were brought ashore using a throw line, they said.
But rescue officers had to enter the water to bring the remaining children to safety.
Porthcawl Coastguard were also in attendance as the six children were assessed at the scene.
They were then transferred to paramedics from the ambulance service for further medical treatment.
