SIR Keir Starmer’s Chagos deal is on the brink of collapse after Trump whisperer Nigel Farage helped trigger a U-turn.
The PM was forced to delay his Chagos Islands deal after a furious backlash from The Don this week – after he previously backed the deal.
Over the past year Mr Farage has spoken against the plan to Trump and senior members of his team.
Mr Farage raised the deal with US Speaker Mike Johnson on his Monday GB News show.
And then again at a dinner with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to “hammer the message home” in Davos on Wednesday, sources said.

Mr Farage told them how the deal could stop US nuclear submarines being based in Diego Garcia.
The Americans were shocked and “felt lied to by Labour”, a Reform source said.
Team Bessent credited Nigel for getting it in the President’s intray, according to one source.
Sir Keir has delayed the legislation that would hand Chagos to Mauritius after Tories tabled a wrecking amendment in the Lords.
The Government insists they are fully committed to the deal.
