ANGELA Rayner will return to the Cabinet, PM Sir Keir Starmer said in a bid to keep his restless left-wingers happy.
Asked if she would ever be back, he told the Observer: “Yes. She’s hugely talented.”


Many of Labour’s left-wingers support Ms Rayner but are unhappy with Sir Keir’s leadership.
The PM’s former deputy — who quit over underpaying stamp duty — has been touted as a possible kingmaker in a future leadership contest if Sir Keir is ousted.
The Prime Minister said: “Now, 17 months into a five-year Labour term, they say ‘you’re not able to change the country’.
“Every time we’ve been in this position, we’ve defied them.

“And that’s what I intend to do.”
We revealed yesterday how mutinous Labour MPs are thinking about trying to oust Sir Keir Starmer as leader after the local elections next May amid tanking poll ratings.
Most want a coronation to avoid a bruising drawn out contest that would make the party even more unpopular with voters.
An insider said: “Everyone wants to avoid a contest, but Wes Streeting will need the Soft Left not to scupper his chances.
“He won’t just need Angela Rayner’s endorsement.
“He will need Ed, Lucy and Lisa not to stand in the way.”
