SHOPPERS have only just spotted the hidden meaning in the logo for Celebrations tubs.

The festive favourites were launched nearly 30 years ago but some Brits have admitted they’ve never noticed Mars’ clever design trick – until now.

Thank you!

A meme showing a box of Celebrations chocolates with text overlay, "how old were you when you realised that each letter of celebrations is one of the chocolates inside?" Arrows point from each letter of "Celebrations" to a different chocolate type found inside the box.
Some shoppers say they knew the hidden meaning all along – others admit they’ve just noticed after this post appeared on FacebookCredit: Facebook

An eagle-eyed shopper took to social media after noticing that each letter of the logo matches the font of one of the chocolates inside.

They posted a picture of a Celebrations tub, marking up the letter that corresponds to each chocolate brand on the front of the iconic tubs.

In the Facebook post, the customer asked: “How old were you when you realised that each letter of Celebrations is one of the chocolates inside?”

One person replied: “Today …so 66!”

The post, on the Bargain Lovers and Deals group, has already received hundreds of comments from shoppers – with others saying they can’t believe they never noticed the hidden meaning before.

Another replied to the post: “Never realised that!”

While a third shopper said: “Today, when you told me.”

Not everyone was impressed with the hidden meaning reveal, however. One shopper wrote: “I eat them … I don’t examine them!”

Celebration tubs have rarely been out of the news since launching in the UK in 1997, particularly in the run up to Christmas.

Earlier this year it was announced Mars had made a huge change to tubs ahead of the festive period.

In September, the chocolate maker announced it was again slashing the size of its red tub from 550g to 500g – equal to a reduction of around five sweets.

It marks the second year in a row the confectionery giant has slimmed down the festive treat, citing cost of living concerns among customers.

Last Christmas, the tubs featuring miniature pieces of Twix, Milkyway and Bounty, were reduced in size from 600g to 550g.

According to comparison site trolley.co.uk, the cheapest place to buy 500g tubs this week is Asda, which is selling them for £4.42.

Second cheapest is Tesco, where they cost £6.00.

However, those with a Clubcard can grab the tubs for just £3.95, while they will cost £7.00 for those shopping at Morrisons.
