SHOPPERS are flocking to a major supermarket to snap up the Quality Street refill bags, which have been slashed ahead of Christmas.
The 685g refill bags, priced at just £5 for Tesco Clubcard holders, offer more chocolate than the iconic tubs, and at a better price.
That’s a full 135g more than the standard tubs, giving shoppers more for their money.
At just 73p per 100g, the refill bags are a bargain compared to the £6 tubs found in most retailers, for just 550g of chocolate.
Shoppers who’ve already grabbed a bag have taken to social media to rave about the generous size.
One person commented: “These refill bags are massive! Definitely more bang for your buck than the regular tubs.”
Another shopper said: “Refill pack? Refill my tummy more like.”
The same size refill bag is also available on Ocado for £5.50.
However, the Tesco Clubcard price of £5 offers the best value, so shoppers who have the card are getting the top deal.
Tesco also offers a smaller 300g size refilll pack, but with the larger size offering a better cost-per-100g deal, it’s no surprise that many shoppers are leaning toward the bigger option.
Meanwhile, Asda has also slashed the price of its 300g Quality Street bag from £3.48 to £2.98 as part of its rollback initiative, which discounts over 4,000 products.
Shoppers can snag a deal on their favourite Christmas chocolates, from The Purple One and Green Triangle to Strawberry Delight and Chocolate Toffee Finger.
Of course it’s worth bearing in mind that at this time of year there are bound to be deals dropping, so always keep an eye out to make sure you’re getting the best value for money.
