Shocking moment truck crashes after driving into police officer – before driver is taken out with Taser

This is the moment a police car smashed into a pickup truck sending the vehicle careering onto the pavement after the driver knocked over a police officer.

In the footage, filmed from a nearby window, a pickup truck can be seen driving down a residential street in Lewisham – in southeast London – as police officers and a police van follow behind.

As the driver continues up the street, a different police car suddenly t-bones the pickup truck bringing the vehicle to an abrupt stop.

The police then surround the truck as they restrain the driver, while horrified onlookers – seemingly brought onto the street by the commotion –  watch on from nearby.

According to the Metropolitan Police, the truck was spotted driving dangerously in nearby Blackheath.

When the police attempted to stop the driver he then shockingly drove off knocking over an officer in the process, who sustained minor injuries.

The police then tasered the man and he was subsequently arrested.
