POOL star Jayson Shaw had an angry confrontation with a fan after being left seething over a lewd gesture.
The Mosconi Cup made its return to Alexandra Palace this week with Team Europe taking on Team USA in pool‘s equivalent of the Ryder Cup.
Shaw, who is captain of Team Europe, comfortably defeated his Team USA counterpart Skyler Woodward on Wednesday night to give his side a 3-0 lead.
It was a superb performance from Shaw and he worked the crowd throughout by boasting after a number of impressive shots.
But he wasn’t happy after the match finished as he noticed someone in the crowd making a disrespectful gesture.
A video shows Shaw responding to the behaviour from the crowd and repeating the gesture back at them.
In what seemed to be a friendly encounter at the start, Shaw can be seen becoming increasingly irate.
He then points towards them with his cue before charging towards them to continue the altercation.
But even after walking away from the incident, Shaw still wasn’t happy as he had words with a Team USA staff member.
He appeared to complain about the fan in question as he pointed at them before walking away.

The commentator speculated that it could have been a friend of Team USA star and his rival Fedor Gorst.
Fans reacted with shock to the heated moment as one wrote: “Pool’s turned into boxing all of a sudden.”
Others enjoyed the sport getting some limelight as another added: “This is extraordinary viewing.”
And third said: “I don’t even watch pool but this is class haha.”
Shaw saw off Woodward, who was captaining Team USA and said he was delighted to get one over on his rival after the pair exchanging words.
He said: “It was a big point. I am delighted with that. After all that talk yesterday, I guess the best man won, right?”
Team Europe have have won 15 out of the last 18 Mosconi ties since 2007 and Shaw boldly claimed they would “crush” their opponents this year.
He said: “We play our game and get in front, they’ll crumble. They do it all the time. We can see it in their faces – that’s the difference between us and them!
“When we’re down we keep fighting, when they’re down they give in and we can smell it and see it. If we get off to a good start, we’ll crush them.
“We’re here to win – they’re here to get paid.”
