THIS is the weird moment a British tourist, reportedly high on mushrooms, goes nude and dances in Thailand.
Police launched an investigation after the strange video emerged online and promptly arrested the 44-year-old for his weird stunt in Phuket.
He was found to have munched on the widely available drug magic mushrooms.
The man sparked concern among relatives when he disappeared in December 2024.
A missing persons appeal was posted online by his desperate friends, who feared the worst.
But the Brit has now turned up alive – without any clothes and thrusting his hips in the middle of nightlife strip Walking Street in Phuket.
Strange footage shows the Brit’s hallucinogen-induced performance as he wiggled his exposed bottom in front of shocked pedestrians at around midnight on Friday.
Onlookers were heard laughing at the bizarre display before he then put on his shorts, ran around in a circle, and fled the scene barefoot.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Ekachai Siri said: “The Bangla Police Patrol and the Patong Police Station Investigation Unit jointly arrested a British national. He was found with 0.89 grams of magic mushrooms.
“He was charged with illegal possession of a Category 5 narcotic, overstaying in Thailand for 162 days, and additional charges for stripping and dancing in Soi Bangla.”
In 2024, his friend posted appeals online warning that she had lost contact with him and urged anyone who knew his whereabouts to contact her.
She said: “Relatives have not been able to contact him. He has been missing for five days. If anyone has any information, please contact us urgently.”
Authorities said the Brit could face up to five years in prison for possession of the substance, along with a fine of up to 100,000 THB (roughly £2,300).
The behaviour can also warrant another fine of 500 THB (about £11).
However, cops said he is likely to avoid jail time and simply be deported for visa offences.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Siri added: “The suspect will be checked by the hospital for his psychological health and well-being before being deported and blacklisted.
“His party is over. Thailand does not need these kinds of tourists. It should be a warning for all tourists who cause problems, that they will be removed and not allowed to return again.”
The once-pristine island of Phuket has been marred by over-tourism after the Thai government implemented a visa-free scheme to boost revenue following difficult years over the pandemic.
Angry locals claim the push for tourist dollars has attracted crowds of “low-quality” visitors from Russia, India and Australia.
There are also fears that the island has become an enclave of criminal activity, with police unable to control street fights and more organised ruffians setting up rackets among local businesses.
Just last week a Russian couple were captured romping in the back of a pick up truck for a social media stunt.
Vlogger Georgy Dzugkoev, 23, was filmed in the back of a black Toyota getting steamy with his partner in crime who was holding herself up with a rope.
The naked pair performed the jawdropping antics as the pickup truck raced along a wet road in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Phuket, southern Thailand.
Graphic footage showed the online star thrusting back and forth – seemingly without a care in the world.
Furious locals saw the disturbing clip and called the police, who launched an investigation.
Dzugkoev was arrested later the same day – just moments before he allegedly tried to flee the country via the Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok.
