‘She gives me the confidence’

World No11 Noppert admits when it comes to taking on extra tournaments or exhibitions, the answer from home is always clear.

He said: “It’s my lifestyle. The most important thing is that my family is behind me. They support me really well.

“If I ask my girlfriend if there is a tournament or an exhibition to play, she says do everything. She’s really behind me.

“She gives me the confidence that I need.”

LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN

Noppert also insists the hectic darts calendar is not as demanding as some make out.

He added: “I think if I play Premier League then I can say it’s a busy schedule.

“So for me it’s okay now. Last week we played a tournament, this weekend we played a tournament, so I have a lot of time at home.

“It’s not that busy, but I enjoy everything, every moment, so that’s most important. If you enjoy every moment in darts, then yeah.”

‘The Freeze’ enjoyed a hugely consistent 2025 season, reaching the semi-finals of FOUR PDC major events and making the final at the Hungarian Darts Trophy.

Noppert has continued that form into this campaign, reaching back-to-back quarter-finals at the World Masters and UK Open.

The 35-year-old has set his sights on winning a maiden European Tour title this season as he looks to climb the rankings.

He continued: “Yeah, of course I want to be back in the top eight again, but top 10 is, of course, a good result.

“Of course I won Pro Tours before and I won a major. The European Tour —once, maybe more — but it’s on my bucket list.

“Hopefully I will do it and if I play like this, what I did today, then everything is possible. It’s on my list.”
