A PLASTIC surgeon has left people open-mouthed after sharing one woman’s transformation.
Dr. Carl Truesdale, who operates his clinic in Beverly Hills, LA, took to social media to show off his craftsmanship.
In one particular video, he filmed one of his clients before surgery and the woman looked like she was about to burst into tears.
According to the caption, she said: “I looked 90 years old, so I got plastic surgery.”
In the clip, she could be seen holding back tears as she told the doctor she was ‘so grateful’ to be getting the procedure done.
The 70-year-old definitely looked older than her age, with deep wrinkles covering her face, and her skin was clearly sagging.
But after just one surgery with the LA doctor, she completely transformed.
The woman got a full facelift at the clinic and just a few weeks later, the swelling had gone down and she looked like a new person.
She said: “He said he was going to take 30 years off my life, and boy did he keep his word.
“I think when people ask me how old I am, I’m gonna say 40, because I feel like that again.”
Now, her face looked so much more radiant and glowing; the sagging skin had been cut away, and her wrinkles had been pulled back to create a more youthful look.
The video has since gone viral on the doctor’s TikTok account @doctor.truesdale with over 12 million views and 1.3 million likes.
People were quick to take to the comments in awe of his work.
One person wrote: “You better stay in business because I’m coming in 50 years.”
Another commented: “This is such a beautiful, natural-looking facelift.”
“STUNNING results. Looks so incredibly natural. This is what I want in 20 years,” penned a third.
What is a face lift and how quick is the recovery?
A FACE lift (technically called a rhytidectomy) is a cosmetic surgical procedure which tries to reduce visible signs of ageing in the face and neck.
- The procedure begins with either general anaesthesia or local anaesthesia with sedation to ensure you’re comfortable and pain-free.
- The surgeon makes incisions based on the type of face lift.
- The surgeon lifts the skin and underlying tissues (SMAS layer – superficial musculoaponeurotic system).
- Fat may be sculpted, removed, or redistributed.
- The underlying muscle and connective tissues are tightened and repositioned to create a more youthful look.
- The skin is gently laid back over the newly repositioned contours and incisions are closed with sutures (medical stitch) or skin adhesives.
- Recovery time varies, but most people return to normal activities within two to four weeks.

“If she dyed her hair a darker colour, she could easily pass for mid-40s,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “Truthfully, she appears about 52. Looks fabulous, and I would never know she was actually 70.”
