ADEN Durde is confident the Seattle Seahawks can repeat their stunning Super Bowl success in 2026.
And the defensive coordinator insists it “doesn’t matter” who the opponents are as long as the Seahawks stick to their gameplan.
Seattle dominated the New England Patriots to a 29-13 victory at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, to win Super Bowl LX.
Durde led the best defensive unit in the league all the way to glory, and out of a tough division with the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams.
The British-born coordinator told The US Sun the secret to Seattle’s success, and how they’re confident it will pay off again in 2026.
“It’s about us,” Durde said. “It’s how we utilize this time in the offseason and our head coach Mike MacDonald does a great job of that.
“It doesn’t really matter about opponents – I think it’s about, are we doing the things we said that culminated in us doing the things we want to see on tape?
“Ultimately, if you live by those principles, the result is a by-product of you doing that and I think Mike does a great job of keeping us on that line.
“We have a big group of guys normally come in and hopefully they come in again and we dominate the offseason.
“Then we go into training camp and we take that on and we try and win that.
“Then you get to the next place and you get to the next place and you get to the next place – you just come constantly.
“When you do that, you can’t look ahead because you’re so focused.
“It’s helped the guys and the coaches be the best version of themselves, especially myself.”
Wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba agreed a mega new four-year contract worth almost $170 million after emerging as one of the NFL’s best in 2025.
But the Seahawks lost Super Bowl MVP running back Kenneth Walker to the Kansas City Chiefs.
“I’m really happy for Jax,” Durde said. “I’m happy for K-9 too.

“This is just the nature of the game. When you do good, it’s a transient sport.
“People come, people go and I’m excited for them.
“The guys in the front office do a great job – one of the main reasons we’re good is we’ve got really good players.”
Seattle will begin the 2026 NFL season by raising their championship banner before hosting the opening game on September 9.
And Durde recalled, “The parade was one of the most memorable things I’ve ever done.
“To see a city and what it means to everyone – it’s a really cool thing to see.
“When you see the things it means to them the same things it means to you.
“That was a great experience. The city is amazing. The fans, the people.”
