A SCHOOLBOY has been arrested after a man was stabbed at a popular music event.
The victim, a man in his 50s, suffered a stab wound to his leg while several other people were assaulted at the Weedon Weekender music event.
The man was rushed to Northampton General Hospital for medical treatment on Saturday evening, but his injury was not life-threatening or changing.
Police explained several people were assaulted after disorder broke out at the event, hosted in Jubilee Field in Weedon, Northamptonshire, around seven miles west of Northampton.
Cops have arrested a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, violent disorder and assault by beating.
He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
The Weedon Weekender event is popular with teenagers, and Northamptonshire Police is seeking footage from people who may have filmed the disorder on Saturday or shared it on social media.
