ALL eyes will be on Wolverhampton once again as the Grand Slam of Darts returns to the big screens – a competition that is special to Luke Littler.
A then 16-year-old Littler burst onto the scene at the 2023/24 World Darts Championship and became the new darling of the sport after reaching the final.
But the teen sensation properly announced himself to the world when he thrashed Martin Lukeman to lift his first major ranking title at last year’s Grand Slam of Darts.
Littler will need to perform better than he did at the recent European Championship if he is to retain his crown as the likes of World No1 Luke Humphries and Dutch ace Michael van Gerwen feature.
Plus, there’s an added incentive of Littler climbing up to top spot in the rankings should things go his way.
