THERE’S no slowing down the snooker train as some of the biggest stars return to the table for this year’s International Championship.
Ding Junhui sent the crowd into a frenzy last year when he beat Chris Wakelin 10-7 to clinch the 2024 crown in front of his home country.
And the Chinese star will be determined to retain his title, particularly after missing out on last week’s Northern Ireland Open.
However, Junhui could come up against the NI Open champion, Jack Lisowski or World No1 Judd Trump who both feature in this highly-anticipated ranking event.
Saudi Snooker Masters 2025 winner Neil Robertson will also play in Nanjing, and the Aussie ace is in good form after becoming just the fourth player to hit 1,000 centuries during qualifiers.
But the player everyone hopes to avoid is Ronnie O’Sullivan and the snooker legend returns to action following his Xi’an Grand Prix quarter-final exit last month.

When is the International Championship snooker 2025?
- The International Championship snooker 2025 will get underway on Sunday, November 2.
- It then concludes a week later – Sunday, November 9.
- South New City National Fitness Center (SNCNFC) in Nanjing, China is the chosen venue for this major event.
- Matches are played as best of 11 frames until the semi-finals, which will be the best of 17 frames played over two sessions, and the final is best of 19, also played over two sessions.
