SEVERAL snooker superstars step up to the table just after Christmas for the first-ever British Seniors Open.
This new TV event marks the return of snooker to Derby for the first time since 1993, with eight players competing for the title.
The likes of former World Seniors champion Alfie Burden and six-time major winner Ken Doherty feature.
And snooker hero Jimmy White also participates in the Derby tournament.

When is the British Seniors Open 2025?
- The British Seniors Open got underway on Boxing Day – Friday, December 26.
- It will then conclude on Sunday, December 28.
- Day sessions of the British Seniors Open are scheduled to start at 1pm GMT while the evening sessions take place from 7pm GMT.
- The Valliant Live is the chosen venue and it marks the return of a senior major being played in Derby for more than 30 years.
What TV channel is it on and can I live stream it for FREE?
- The British Seniors Open will take place on Channel 5 in the UK.
