APPLE’s popular smartwatch range is falling in price across major retailers this week.
The Apple Watch remains one of the most sought-after wearables, and Black Friday is delivering some of the biggest discounts of the year.
As the Sun Shopping tech writer, I track smartwatch prices year-round, so I know when a deal genuinely stands out.
While Apple itself keeps its prices set, retailers like Very, Argos, and Amazon are already chopping prices for Black Friday.
I’ve already seen price tags lowered on select models, including up to £130 off the Series 10 Watch.
So whether you’re planning your first upgrade or just waiting for the right price, it’s worth keeping tabs on the early offers now.
You’ll find the best of the bunch below.

Apple Watch SE 2022 review
The Sun’s Senior Tech Editor, Sean Keach, reviewed the Apple Watch SE, and this is his verdict…
Pros:
- It’s fast, with the same main chip as the fancier Apple smartwatches
- It’s affordable
- It has all the key features like Crash Detection and Fall Detection
Cons:
- The screen turns off, so you have to raise your wrist to see it
- It’s missing some of the more advanced health sensors (like ECG and blood oxygen)
- The design looks a bit older
Rating: 10/10
You get great fitness tracking on the Apple Watch SE 2022 (including a heart-rate monitor that shows calories burned and, well, your heart rate).
And it uses the Rings game system that motivates you to close each circle daily (Move calories, Exercise minutes and hourly Stands).
If you’re looking at getting your first proper fitness tracker, the Apple Watch SE isn’t a bad way to go.
It’s even water-resistant, so you can track a swim with it.
The Watch SE also supports Apple Pay, so you can make purchases at checkouts – or use some public transport – without ever having to reach for your iPhone.
It’s generally hard to knock the Apple Watch SE.
Sure, it misses some of the bells and whistles seen on the Series 8.
But it’s also very capable for its low price, especially given all its health-tracking features.
Plus, it looks great as a smartwatch, is highly customisable (digitally with faces, and physically with straps), and doesn’t get in the way.
Is Apple taking part in Black Friday this year?
Apple itself does not typically participate in Black Friday sales and maintains its characteristically high prices throughout November.
It does, however, generally run a voucher event alongside Black Friday.
What to expect from Apple’s Black Friday sale 2025
Several retailers that stock the wearable are expected to take part in the Black Friday event.
That means you shouldn’t struggle to find some high-tech wristwear at a bargain price this year.

What was in Apple’s sale last year?
Shoppers bagged some solid savings in 2024’s sale.
The Series 10 dropped to £379 at Amazon, down from £399, while Argos cut the Series 9 to £299, shaving £50 off its usual price.
And over at AO, the 2nd Gen SE dipped to £240, giving buyers a neat little discount on Apple’s most affordable model.
When is Cyber Monday 2025, and is Apple taking part?
Cyber Monday takes place on December 1, 2025.
It always falls on the Monday after Black Friday; however, Apple rarely participates.
But don’t worry, many other retailers have deals running across the weekend, ending at midnight on Cyber Monday.
It’s often the last chance shoppers have to snap up big discounts on coveted items before Christmas.
Some retailers even reserve their biggest discounts for Cyber Monday.
Or they might have some remaining sale stock, so they are happy to go even lower—that means there are some exciting deals right at the end.
However, a popular product like the Apple Watch might sell out fast, so waiting is a gamble.
How much does Apple charge for shipping?
Apple offers free standard shipping on all online orders.
Scheduled delivery options may also be available.
When purchasing Apple products from other retailers, delivery costs will vary.
Does Apple offer any other discounts?
Although Apple itself may not offer huge deals during Black Friday, it does offer extra discounts to school and university students, as well as teaching staff, when using Apple’s education store.
Apple also offers a trade-in programme that allows shoppers to trade in eligible Apple devices for credit or a gift card.
There, you can shop for several discounted items that have been tested and come with a one-year warranty.

More Apple Black Friday Deals
When does the Apple Watch sale start?
November 28 is the official date for your diary — Black Friday 2025.
You’ll see a massive influx of deals ahead of the busy sale day, and of course, during Black Friday itself, but you’ll also be competing with lots of other shoppers.
The best thing to do is research your purchase beforehand.
Figure out which watch is right for you and your preferences, such as style and colour.
Plus, make a note of the sale price at different retailers.
Then, come Black Friday, you can leap into action.
You should also watch out for early-bird deals from now on.
We’ll help you here by keeping track of them all, so do check back.
When does the Apple Watch sale end?
In theory, this massive sales weekend ends on Cyber Monday.
That is December 1 this year.
It gives you four days of amazing deals, plus those early-bird offers ahead of time.
But, likewise, not all retailers confine themselves to Cyber Monday.
Some offer deals into late November and even into December.
It depends on what they’ve got left and how generous they’re feeling.
Does the Apple Watch track sleep?
Apple’s watches, including the Apple Watch Ultra 2, Series 9, and Series 10, can track your sleep.
This means that you can wake up in the morning and monitor how much sleep you’ve had, as well as your sleep activity over the last 14 days.
You can also set sleep schedules and sleep goals.
Alternatively, the Series 3 can track sleep when running WatchOS 8 or later, but some reviewers have noticed that the battery life isn’t quite sufficient to support it.

How much are Apple Watches?
Prices depend on which series you’re looking to buy.
Of course, newer generations will cost more, whereas opting for something a few generations older will be more budget-friendly.
For example, if you’re looking to get the Apple Watch Series 10, you’ll spend around £399 for the aluminium version and £699 for the titanium variant.
In the US, prices vary, so you’ll find the Apple Watch SE starting at $249, the Series 10 at $399, and the spec-heavy Ultra at $799.
Are Apple watches worth it?
Realistically, around £200 is a lot of money to pay for a watch (though, as we all know, wristwear prices can get much higher).
However, Apple’s wearables are much more than a gadget for telling the time.
You can track your fitness levels, pay for items, check texts, and more.
The functionality they provide and the way they integrate with other Apple products are bound to make your day-to-day life incrementally easier.
It’s hard to put a price on that.
