OUTRAGED Wetherspoons punters have blasted a blasphemous Christmas dinner which is missing one key ingredient.
Furious fans took to social media to slam the pub giant for its festive meal after noticing that a crucial item was nowhere to be seen.
Facebook users poured out in anger after seeing a Christmas dinner with no roast potatoes.
The glaring absence sparked a social media frenzy – with some customers dubbing the heinous act “sacrilege”.
Shocking images showed the Xmas meal with all the usual suspects – apart from one beloved food item.
Stuffing, pigs in blankets, turkey, and heaps of gravy were all to be seen.
But for reasons unknown to fuming diners, the dish came with mashed potatoes instead of the iconic roasties.
One seething Chritsmas-lover wrote: “I thought this looked nice when I read the Christmas menu then realised the are serving it with mash instead of roasties, sacrilege!”
Another noted: “No roast potatoes.”
While a third said: “Needs roast potatoes.”
One underwhelmed customer said: “I was very disappointed with mine the “roast veg” was raw the turkey was obviously processed (lots of it) the stuffing, mash and peas was OK but luke warm.
“I would have complained but I had a bus to catch.”
It comes after Spoons unveiled its 2025 Christmas menu – before diners noticed two popular items were missing.
The pub chain’s festive range is available until December 31 with some tasty bites and meal deals on offer.
Diners will be able to tuck into the boozer’s sliced turkey breast with winter veg, a plant-based alternative and a handful of succulent deli sandwiches.
Carnivores can sink their teeth into the main turkey dish which is paired with pork and includes sage and onion stuffing, served with roasted Chantenay carrots and parsnips, Maris Piper mash, two pigs-in-blankets, peas, cranberry sauce and gravy.
Vegetarians and vegans can also enjoy a hearty slap-up offering, which comes complete with a vegan patty with garlic and herb sauce, iceberg lettuce, tomato and red onion, topped with mushrooms and served with five onion rings.
For punters not quite ready for a traditional Christmas meal, the chain is also rolling out The Big Cheese Burger.
Famished customers can also chow down on a brie and bacon burger, chicken and stuffing burger, or a new addition, a mushroom and garlic burger suitable for vegetarians.
But hungry punters won’t be able to get their hands on the big cheese pizza or the chocolate-orange Espresso Martinis this year.
The announcement comes as Wetherspoons continues its big push across the UK.
Last week, the giant announced that seven brand-new boozers will open their doors across Britain next year.
The chain confirmed the new round of openings, with more pints, grub and cheap food coming to punters before the end of the year.
