Ruth Langsford has said she’s ‘open’ to the idea of dating someone new after her divorce from Eamonn Holmes.
The Loose Women star, 65, separated from Eamonn, 66, in May 2024 after 14 years of marriage.
Ruth is thought to have remained single since her highly publicised split from husband Eamonn after 27 years together and 14 years of marriage.
However, Eamonn didn’t take any time to move on, striking up a relationship with relationship counsellor Katie Alexander, 44, who is 22 years his junior.
In a new interview on Heart FM’s Breakfast Show, Amanda Holden asked Ruth if she was ‘open to another relationship’.
She replied: ‘Never say never. Right now I’m perfectly happy, I’ve got a full life and great friends and lots of work. I’ve said I’m going forward with an open mind and an open heart.’

Amanda’s co-host Jamie Theakston pointed out the modern dating world is very different and questionned if dating apps were on the agenda, to which Ruth laughed: ‘Oh god, I won’t be swiping.
‘If I’m going to do it, Jamie, I want to do it the old-fashioned way.
‘You know, that I might just walk out of here, bump into somebody and go ‘oh sorry’ and then find myself having a coffee with them. I don’t know, but I won’t be swiping anyone.’
Amanda asked if Ruth’s new book Feeling Fabulous: Be Your Best Self, No Matter what Life Throws at You ‘has tips and tricks’ on moving on, only for Ruth to quip ‘got no tricks’.
‘I bet you have, I bet you’ve got new tricks up your sleeve,’ Amanda insisted to which a smiling Ruth teased: ‘Nothing I can discuss here!’
Ruth admitted last week that she has turned to therapy to help her through the tough time.
Speaking to her friend Rylan Clark on BBC Radio 2, she said: ‘I’ve had counselling and its the best thing I ever did.’
‘All the situations and other things have come up and that was through a friend of mine who said, “Would you please maybe think about seeing my counsellor?”
‘And she had helped her through a very difficult divorce. And I went, “I don’t need to see a counsellor, to tell me I’m sad”. She was like, “Honestly it’s so much more that that”.’
Ruth continued: ‘Anyway, she pecked my head for so long. Eventually I said yes to shut her up, to be honest. I went, “Fine ok”.
‘It’s the best thing I ever did and I’m still doing it. With your friends they’re always on your side really and they will stand by you whatever decisions you make or however you’re feeling, they’ll hold you up.

‘A counsellor is very different, they look at the bigger picture, they don’t know you and they never tell you what to do. She’s never told me what to do, she’s just guided me to think in different ways about things.
‘Lots of people have picked up on this saying that she said to me, which was, “Find your light”.
‘Everything felt so dark and she said, “Just use that energy that your feeling anger and sadness, try and bring that energy here and find your light”‘.
