Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is seriously injured following a car crash in New Hampshire on Saturday night.
Giuliani reportedly fractured his vertebrae and had multiple lacerations and contusions after his rental car was hit from behind, according to his spokesman Michael Ragusa.
The 81-year-old former mayor had injuries on his left arm and lower leg.
‘Mayor Giuliani was flagged down by a woman who was a victim of domestic violence prior to the accident,’ Ragusa said in a statement.
‘He rendered assistance and contacted 911, remaining on scene until responding officers arrived to ensure her safety.’
Ragusa claims Giuliani was transferred to a nearby trauma center, and is recovering from his injuries.
The Daily Mail reached out to Giuliani’s spokesperson for comment.
