COMEDIAN and TV presenter Ruby Wax says she will tell stories about US President Donald Trump while in the I’m A Celeb camp.
She says she was thrown off his private jet during an interview 25 years ago, because she laughed when he spoke of his dreams to run for office.
Ruby, 72, said the anecdotes “will come out of my mouth” and added: “Donald Trump I don’t think is too worried.
“I don’t think he’ll be listening to the show, so I will be OK.”
American-British Ruby also said she would speak about other big names she has interviewed – if her campmates want to hear about them.
They include the likes of Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, and American footballer OJ Simpson – who was controversially acquitted of double murder.
Ruby said: “I hope I am entertaining. I mean, I guess that is what they got me for.”
And her campmates will not be able to avoid a grilling from her either.
Ruby said: “That is my area. I am totally curious, and I will just drill away.
“To me, they are like a Rubik’s Cube, and you are trying to put it together. And most people do not mind, because people like to be listened to, and I listen hard.”
Despite being very outspoken, the star says she will not want to offend anyone with her views in camp.
She said: “Well, I am not, I am not that type.
“If people are starting to get a little ratty, then I am really good at controlling the situation and calming everybody down.
“I would not dare do that, because that is all you need in this confined space. I wouldn’t go near it.
“I will be honest. I am really honest, and I cannot fake it, but I don’t have it with people.
“I’m really excited to meet all these people.
“And, you know, to me, it is like a scientific experiment: putting all these bacteria in a petri dish and seeing how they react.
“And I really am doing it because I am an adrenaline junkie, and this is as much as adrenaline as I think I have ever hit.”
The mother-of-three is bound to put smiles on the faces of her fellow celebs once the show kicks off on Sunday night.
Asked if anyone has expressed reservations about her signing up, Ruby joked: “My children were horrified, because I am a total embarrassment to them in general.
“So this is really humiliating. Even my existence is mortifying to my children.
“The fact that I breathe is an embarrassment, and I know nothing about comedy in their eyes, because they are comedians, and they know better.”
