Shocking dashcam video captured the moment the driver of a minivan violently swerved into a motorcyclist on an Oregon highway in a horrifying act of road rage.
The hit-and-run occurred around 6:15 am Monday near US 26 in Beaverton outside Portland.
Footage released by the Beaverton Police shows what authorities believe to be the conclusion of a road rage encounter between the motorcyclist and the unidentified driver of Kia Carnival.
In the clip, the blue minivan and motorcycle are seen traveling side-by-side when the motorcyclist appears to gesture at the driver in frustration.
The minivan then suddenly swerves into the biker over three lanes, sending him smashing into road and skidding into the shoulder. The minivan then speeds away.
Witnesses can be seen pulling over to assist the rider, who survived but suffered serious injuries.
First responders rushed the 21-year-old victim to a Portland trauma center, where he was treated for a serious concussion and extensive road rash, according to his family.
Police confirmed his injuries were not life-threatening.

The rider, a 21-year-old man identified only as Correy by his family, was suddenly and deliberately struck by the minivan driver and thrown off the road
Beaverton Police are now searching for the driver, described as a white male in his 30s or 40s with a black beard. The suspect vehicle, a blue late-model Kia Carnival, likely has front-end damage.
Investigators called the behavior intentional and reckless.
Speaking to KPTV, the victim’s family said the incident followed a ‘brief exchange regarding a near collision’ involving the motorcyclist, who they identified only by his first name, Correy.
‘He had to have seen him fall, like there is no way around that,’ his sister, Brittni, said through tears. ‘And then you just kept driving… he could have been dead on the side of the road.’
‘It is really hard to watch just because it is so deliberate. He literally could have died, and I don’t know who could do that,’ she added.
Correy’s mother, Patsy, described the force of the impact, showing her son’s mangled jacket, boots, sunglasses and helmet.
‘The driver hit him so hard that my son’s clutch lever went through the complete side of his steel-toe boots… that’s how bad he hit him, and threw him 250 feet,’ she said.
‘The mistake that you made could have killed my brother and that’s all I want you to acknowledge,’ Brittni added. ‘He could have lost his life, and that is nothing to play around with.’

Beaverton Police urge anyone with information to contact Officer Nick Coplin at 971-253-9710 or their non-emergency line at 503-629-0111.
Officers are also reviewing traffic cameras and vehicle records in their search for the suspect.
A GoFundMe campaign has since been organized for the injured biker to help raise funds for medical bills and his totaled motorcycle, according to the fundraising page.
‘Despite the trauma and pain, Correy is staying positive and doing his best to recover. However, because the driver fled the scene, Correy is left with not only injuries but also the burden of medical bills and repairs to his totaled motorcycle,’ the page reads.
‘We’re starting this GoFundMe to help relieve some of that financial pressure and allow Correy to focus on healing.’
