Ring up a royal! Princess Beatrice gets hands on as she joins charity call-in for 9/11 victims

Princess Beatrice today helped raise money in memory of those who died on 9/11 as she attended an annual charity event in London for the second year running.
The 37-year-old royal was among the celebrities who visited financial company BGC’s offices in Canary Wharf on Thursday, September 11.

Each year, the New York-based company pays tribute to the 658 Cantor Fitzgerald staff and 61 EuroBrokers employees who were killed in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Centre 26 years ago.

Beatrice was photographed on the trading floor where, under the guidance of brokers, she helped close deals with the company’s clients to raise money for charity.

For the occasion, she donned a button-down black midi dress that was tied at the waist as well as matching black pumps with a double ankle strap.

Her auburn hair was blow-dried perfectly and Beatrice opted for a simple yet elegant makeup look that showed off her glowing complexion.

Photos showed her talking on the phone alongside senior BGC executives as well as popular figures from the entertainment industry, including Tom Hardy, TV presenters Holly Willoughby and Davina McCall, and Louise Redknapp

Beatrice was raising money for CFRF or the Commercial Fisheries Research Foundation, a non-profit private foundation that was set up by commercial fishermen to ‘conduct collaborative fisheries research’ and undertake education projects.

Other prominent figures that spent the morning raising millions of pounds for a variety of charities included actor Will Poulter, boxer Anthony Joshua, former Chelsea captain John Terry, and Britain’s Got Talent star Amanda Holden.

Also present at the event was Pam & Tommy actress Lily James, footballer Mark Bright, veteran TV actor Ray Winstone, and England and Lions rugby captain Maro Itoje.

Beatrice previously attended the charity event last September, when she praised the ‘incredible work’ carried out by the charities ‘on a daily basis’.

I am so pleased to be part of Charity Day and support these grass roots organisations,’ she said at the time.

The 9/11 terrorist attacks killed 2,977 people and injured thousands at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in Pennsylvania.

The latest edition of Charity day was also attended by new Match of the Day presenter Gabby Logan, who was raising money for Muscular Dystrophy UK.

In one sweet moment, Princess Beatrice smiled for a selfie with an ambassador for the not-for-profit organisation that raises awareness about muscle wasting and weakening conditions – while supporting those affected.

As the event progressed, Beatrice sat down at a desk on the traders floor as she appeared to get into the swing of things.

It comes after Beatrice inaugurated Abu Dhabi Bank’s newest branch in London’s posh neighbourhood Mayfair.

For the occasion, she wore an ivory floral tea dress by ME+EM, layered with a double-breasted blazer from Zara, and finished the look with her go-to Nicholas Kirkwood court shoes.

Beatrice, who shares two daughters with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, recently marked her 37th birthday on August 8.

Beatrice gave birth to her and Edoardo’s second daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose, on January 22.

She has previously referred to her eight-year-old stepson Wolfie, from Edo’s past relationship with architect Dara Huang as her ‘bonus’ child.

Beatrice and Edo shared a rare glimpse of their blended family in July when the royal couple joined Lionesses fans at their Euros victory parade in London

The King’s niece and Edoardo made their way to The Mall to watch the European champions lift their hard-earned trophy – as a 65,000-strong crowd cheered along the length of the Mall.

The Lionesses waved at onlookers from atop one of two buses as they travelled down the thoroughfare – with the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson also joining in the celebrations.

The royal looked lovingly at her baby daughter, Athena, who was safely fastened to her father’s chest.

Edoardo and Beatrice’s older daughter, Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi, three, however, appeared unfazed by the large gathering as she waved England’s flag while enjoying a sweet treat during her most public appearance yet.
