RICKY EVANS launched an emotional rant about gravy moments after booking his place in the second round of the World Darts Championship.
Evans, 35, comfortably defeated Man Lok Leung in front of a raucous crowd at Alexandra Palace.
Rapid Ricky whipped punters into a frenzy with his latest Christmas-themed walk out – this time to Shakin’ Stevens classic Merry Christmas Everyone.
And after winning his first round clash, Evans confusingly said on stage: “Gravy is the devil.”
Further quizzed about his comment in his post-match presser, Rapid Ricky, whose sister Elisha tragically passed away in March, poignantly explained: “Hate it. Everyone loves it don’t they?
“My sister, when she was alive, her and mum used to… they could bath in it.
“I hate it. Apparently as a boy I loved it. That and baked beans, God (motions being sick). I hate it. Give me some cranberry sauce, ketchup will do!
“I just hate it. There’s something about the old KFC… even that, KFC, everyone raves about it. Just my opinion!
Evans wore a Christmas-themed outfit for his encounter, donning a shirt with Santa’s face on it, while there were also snowflakes printed onto his trousers.
One fan even dubbed Rapid Ricky the “Michael Buble of darts“.

Following his win, the Kettering-born star suffered a wardrobe malfunction on stage.
After ripping his trousers, Evans jokingly covered up the tear in his bottoms before turning to the crowd and bending over to show off the split.
Despite having become synonymous with festive arrows, Evans recently revealed that he doesn’t even like Christmas.
Rapid Ricky told the PDC website: “Ally Pally is always special. I love this tournament, which is weird for a bloke who hates Christmas!
“I don’t mind the party vibes and all that, but I don’t like receiving presents, watching the King’s Speech or the EastEnders specials.
“I’m a right Scrooge. I only like Christmas now if I’m still in the World Championship!”
World No43 Evans will face either James Wade or Japan’s Ryusei Azemoto in the next round.
