A RESTAURANT at the centre of a major emergency response after diners suddenly fell ill has confirmed it is shutting its doors for the time being.
Dosa Kingss, on Northenden Road in Sale, Manchester, was swarmed by police, fire crews and paramedics just after 12.30pm on Saturday September 6 when reports came in that several customers had been taken poorly

Emergency teams treated a number of diners inside the curry house, with Greater Manchester Police later saying people had suffered “minor reactions”.
One customer is believed to have been more seriously affected, though officers stressed nobody was in a critical condition.
Northenden Road was closed while investigations were carried out, as witnesses shared photos of emergency vehicles lining the street.
Firefighters were called to support paramedics and police during the response.
Police have since ruled out a gas leak.
Attention has since turned to food served in the restaurant, though official enquiries are still ongoing.
Initial reports suggested at least eight diners had been taken ill, though it is now thought the true number is in double figures.
Local health officials from Trafford Council have remained involved as part of the investigation.
The South Indian street kitchen and bar is popular with locals and regularly promotes itself as offering “culinary excellence”.
Its website boasts: “At Dosa Kingss, we take pride in crafting a dining experience that goes beyond the ordinary.”
Following the scare, Dosa Kingss issued a short statement on social media confirming a temporary closure.
It read: “Dear valued customers, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are temporarily closed.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and truly appreciate your understanding and support. We look forward to serving you again.”
Enquiries into the cause are continuing.
