As Ed said earlier today, the Abrego Garcia Case Keeps Getting Worse for Dems. Yesterday, a second request for a protection order was revealed, this one from 2020. What it shows is that, according to his wife, Abrego Garcia was an abusive bully who like to break things around the house (doors, televisions, phones) when he was angry. And when he was really angry he would just hit her. The fact that so many Democrats are standing up for this guy can’t be explained apart from their hatred for Trump. Remove Trump from this story or better yet make this guy a Trump supporter and the entire left would be condemning him in one voice as an example of toxic masculinity.
So earlier today a reporter for the Daily Caller asked Rep. Ilhan Omar whether she thought Democrats in Congress should be traveling to El Salvador to free Abrego Garcia.
At this point, Omar could have said something politic about that being a personal decision by Democratic members or she could have defended the trips on the grounds that she wanted to see the rule of law observed in Abrego Garcia’s deportation. She could even have lashed out at the president. But she didn’t do any of that.
“I think you should f–k off,” Omar shot back.
“You should f–k off,” the Democrat repeated when a shocked Morrell asked what she was saying.

That clip was quickly picked up by a lot of people including Libs of TikTok. People are wondering if this is the “dark woke” messaging strategy the left has been talking about?

I can’t believe I’m saying it but I almost miss the Joy Democrats from last summer, the ones who pretended to really enjoy all the cackling at the top of the ticket.
There’s an article about the “dark woke” trend in New York magazine today. They call it the “cringiest” phrase of 2025.

The general profanity from other Democrats — the growing number of “f***s” and “s***s” on the campaign trail and in online messaging — is wearying. Trump doesn’t seem authentic just because he curses occasionally; he retains a certain amount of gravity, even as his popularity slides, because few voters doubt he is the same person onstage that he is when he’s at dinner. There is one Trump, and he is never scripted…
At best, dark woke is a cheap trick. It offers shock value and allows Democrats to think they can suddenly make the Joe Rogan and Theo Von fan bases trust them again. But those kinds of voters — young, male, and politically heterodox — aren’t hunting for garden-variety Democrats who belch out “f***” and “damn” every once in a while.
This seems like part of a messaging strategy but I don’t think this is going to work for Omar in the long run. I guess we’ll find out.
