Referee forced to leave ring after being manhandled by Tetteh who was fuming after being stopped against Frazer Clarke

FRAZER CLARKE’S one-round victory over Ebenezer Tetteh ended in chaos as the Ghanaian raged at referee Kevin Parker’s stoppage.

Burton-on-Trent giant Clarke, 33, needed emergency surgery in Saudi Arabia after Fabio Wardley smashed a dent into his skull, in a one-round battering.

The Team GB Olympic bronze winner bounced back in style against Tetteh, dodging a couple of wild swings from the veteran and then flooring him with the first serious punch of the opener.

And then the referee dived in as soon as Clarke raced onto the overmatched Accra punchbag.

Tetteh was furious that Kevin Parker dived in so swiftly and had to be calmed down by the security staff after manhandling the referee.

He didn’t hang around for the official result announcement, racing away from the brief bout, into the dressing rooms and away from the farcical fight.

Recovered Clarke celebrated with his team but will need a much more serious test to prove his potential, with dreams still on a world title.
