A RARE Nestlé chocolate bar that shoppers say is “just like” a discontinued 90s favourite has been spotted back on Home Bargains shelves.
For generations, the original bar was a childhood staple, instantly recognisable for its milk chocolate and animal shapes moulded into each segment.

Its disappearance in November 2023, after almost 60 years, left fans disappointed and nostalgic.
Now, that long-missed favourite is finally being named: Nestlé’s Animal Bar, and shoppers think they’ve found its spiritual successor in Nestlé Jungly Figuritas.
Nestlé Jungly Figuritas are animal-themed chocolate treats imported from Spain.
Like Animal Bars, they feature moulded wild animals such as lions and crocodiles, although they come as individual chocolate pieces rather than a single bar.
There is one notable difference.
The Jungly chocolates contain biscuit pieces mixed into the milk chocolate, giving them extra crunch compared to the original 90s favourite.
A description on the Nestlé Family Club website says: ‘This bag contains figurines in the shape of milk chocolate animals and pieces of JUNGLY biscuits – 100 per cent sustainably grown cocoa selected through Nestlé Cocoa Plan. Rainforest Alliance certified.’
In Spain, Jungly is also sold as a full chocolate bar in milk, white and dark chocolate varieties.
The bars have previously been available in the UK at Poundland, Heron Foods and Farmfoods.
Images of the chocolate have been circulating on social media, prompting Brits to reminisce about the original Animal Bars.
“Really nice, tasted like the old Nestlé chocolate,”said one customer.
Another wrote: “Like Animal Bars, I miss those.”
