THE RAC have just confirmed the perfect combination of two buttons to most efficiently defrost your windshield this December.
Temperatures are dropping every day, which drivers know all too well can be a nightmare.

Waking up to frosty windshields and stiff doors is not only a complete pain, but it can be incredibly dangerous if left unaddressed.
But according to the Royal Automobile Club (RAC) thoroughly defrosting your car is incredibly simple, and only requires the push of two buttons.
A number of users were discussing the topic of frosty mornings impacting their cars, and their tips and tricks for thawing their vehicles.
The RAC themselves then quickly hopped in, confirming a two button technique in a car’s climate control system that doesn’t require extra tools, products or time to get the job done.
The first button a driver should press, permitted their car has it, is the front defrost button.
It should look like a windshield icon with upward arrows.
“Turn on the fan and point it in the direction of the windscreen and/or passenger windows,” says the RAC.
“Drivers will need to melt the ice on both of these to see out the front, use the wing mirrors and have a better field of vision.”
In combination with this, the RAC further confirmed that the rear defrost button can massively help defrost a car if ran simultaneously with the windshield setting.
It should look like a rectangle icon with wavy lines, and once running your car will overall defrost faster as well as ensure your back windows are frost and fog-free for seeing traffic throughout winter.
