A savvy punter has hit Paddy Power for £14,000 after a ‘shrewd’ bet on Saturday’s horse racing action.
The remarkable online bet featured eight horses from across the Haydock and Ascot cards, where the mystery bettor picked SEVEN winners in a row.

- 3.15pm Ascot Tenability SP 85-40 Won
- 3.50pm Ascot Abloom SP 2-1 fav Won
- 4.25pm Ascot Binhareer SP 3-1 3rd
Not only that, their use of the cash out couldn’t have been better timed to help boost their already incredible winnings.
The punter staked £130 on trebles and four folds across the eight runners, which included a 78p each-way accumulator on all eight horses across the two meetings.
The first seven horses won at odds between 8/11 and 4/1, including The Reverend’s Old Borough Cup triumph at Haydock.
Had Binaheer won in the 4.25 at Ascot, the bet would have landed for an astonishing £69,000 for the total £1.56 staked on the acca.
But this genius punter decided to cash in at just the right time as Binaheer would go on to come 3rd and finish in the placings, meaning £8,483.78 was cashed out on the acca.
Had they not done so, the returns would have only been £4,885.98 – so the right decision was made.
Paddy Power spokesman Paul Binfield said: “We’ve seen some amazing action, including the Arc favourite beaten and Big Mojo scorching to victory at Haydock.
“But this punter showed amazing shrewdness in so many ways.
“As well as combining their eight selections to grab around six grand in trebles and four folds, they managed to get an amazing seven winners in a row before cashing out for another eight grand on the accumulator, four grand more than if they’d let the last horse run. Pure genius.”
Saturday appears to have been a profitable one for punters, with Betfair also facing a huge payout on the day’s action.
One punter there scooped a whopping £8,000 from £25 staked across the cards.
