A PRISON inmate says he ordered a Five Guys burger that was delivered to his cell by drone.
He used a contraband phone to brag about it in an online video, saying it was “battered and bruised” and “soggy & cold” but tasted “delicious”.
In a second clip from behind bars, he says the three-patty stack was “well worth the money”.
The inmate claims in the caption that the takeaway was delivered straight to him by the drone.
He writes: “This is what a Five Guys burger looks like delivered to my window via a drone in the Big House.”
The lag goes on: “I mean it’s took a long detour, gone through battering weather, hit the wall and window a couple times and had to get frazzled in the microwave to kill any germs but yer it didn’t look too much different.”
Other TikTok users responding to the video speculated the delivery could cost as much as £600.
A source said: “It’s unlikely to be an actual Five Guys burger, but the inmate may have been posting the video for ‘clout’ or to get views.”
The video, which had more than 220,000 views before being removed, is thought to have been filmed in a Midlands jail.
The Prison Service said: “There is zero evidence to support these claims but we are submitting requests to the social media platform to remove this content.
“Prisoners caught using mobiles face further punishment which can include extra time behind bars.”
It comes after The Sun revealed inmates at Wandsworth Prison were able to order fried chicken from popular London chain Chicken Cottage to their cells.
The cons, who also boasted about the takeaway dinner on the video sharing site, might also have used drones or had the food smuggled in.
The Government is now searching for innovative ways to stop drones, which are also bringing drugs and weapons into prisons.
Last month, it announced it would be awarding almost £2million in funding to develop counter-drone technology for prisons.
