Princess Andre reveals emotional dad Peter has been left ‘sobbing’ by her upcoming 18th birthday as she breaks her silence on split from boyfriend ahead of marking the milestone

Princess Andre has revealed her upcoming 18th birthday has left dad Peter ‘sobbing’ as he struggles to come to terms with her ‘growing up’.

The daughter of the singer and Katie Price, who celebrates the milestone June 29, has also broken her silence on her recent split from her unnamed boyfriend following two years of dating. 

She told The Sun: ‘[My Dad] so proud and so supportive, but I think it’s hard to see your kid get older, he was the first person I took for a drive in the new car’. 

Last month Princess was forced to hit back at fans who accused her of not buying new £10k car herself, after shared snaps of her new white Audi A1 to Instagram.

‘We were listening to music and suddenly I heard him sobbing. I was like: “Are you OK?” And he admitted it was hard for him to see me grow up’. 

Moving onto her personal life she said: ‘I’m feeling good. I’ve always kept my personal life personal, so I don’t talk too much about it, but now is the time to focus on me, I want to get my career to exactly where I want it.’

Despite now being of legal age to drink, the influencer said she had no plans for wild nights on the town but would be opting instead for quiet visits to the pub with pals. 

Peter, 52, previously shared  fears his daughter was growing up too fast but said he was starting to ‘loosen the reigns’ as she got older.

He told to The Sun: ‘It’s hard because you’re so strict as a parent, but as time goes on you start letting the reigns go a little bit. You don’t want to let them go too much too quick.’ 

He also explained that the likelihood of the teen doing a reality show like Love Island was definitely off the cards, but he may not have as much say as time goes on.

‘I don’t even know the words Love Island. Those two words don’t go together in my house,’ he jested. 

Last month it was reported that Princess had split from her boyfriend after her busy career left ‘no place for a man’, just a year after declaring that she was ‘in love’.

According to reports Princess, who kept much of her relationship out of the public eye, will be doing the same with the ‘tough’ break up.

The teen first went public with their romance when she invited him along to her mother Katie’s 45th birthday celebrations in Brighton in May 2023.

Katie then appeared on Jamie Laing’s Private Parts podcast, where she opened up on her thoughts about the romance.

Discussing her Christmas plans at the time, she revealed: ‘Princess and her boyfriend are coming up with me for the weekend.’

Jamie excitedly interrupted: ‘Princess has a boyfriend!’ causing Katie to reply: ‘I know, Ed. He’s alright actually.’

Describing their relationship, she continued: ‘I watch them, and they argue, then they laugh. They argue like proper little teenagers. ‘They’re both like jealous of each other and it’s like, “Oh shut up you two!” They are funny together, they’re like a little married couple.’

Katie then spoke about her parenting rules for the couple, saying she was ‘easygoing’ because she remembers how she was at their age.

However, Princess’ dad Peter has admitted he was ‘struggling’ with the news that his daughter was dating and told Woman magazine: ‘I’m not happy about this at all. I’m struggling beyond belief, but that’s life. We’ve had many chats. I have very strict rules in my house.’

Despite Katie making her name, and her millions, as a reality television star it was recently reported that daughter Princess isn’t quite so impressed by her mother’s star quality because she will not feature on her forthcoming ITV show. 

MailOnline revealed that Katie will not appear on the fly-on-the-wall programme which will see influencer Princess become a celebrity in her own right but her dad Peter, step-mum Emily and older brother Junior are all to have parts in the series.

The programme will follow her work and home life as she prepares to reach the milestone age and last month, the popular teenager was spotted with a camera crew outside the London offices of hair styling brand GHD.

A television insider told MailOnline: ‘Katie will not be in Princess’s show, the decision has been made and it’s final.

‘Princess loves her mum, and they have a great relationship, but the show is all about her work and home life.

‘Television bosses were adamant that nothing was to be ‘staged’ to include Katie as it would not be a real and truthful insight into her life.’

Peter, who shot to fame in the noughties with his hit Mysterious Girl, has brought Junior and Princess up along with wife Emily, 35, with whom he has three children, Amelia, 11, eight-year-old Theo and daughter Arabella, who was born in April 2025.

Meanwhile, Katie has son Harvey from her relationship with footballer Dwight Yorke as well as Jett, 12, and Bunny, 11, from her marriage to Kieran Hayler.

Katie and Peter, 52, started their relationship in 2004 after getting together on I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here! but their relationship fell apart in 2009 and they divorced.
