PRINCE Harry is pointing the finger in his bombshell interview after losing his battle for taxpayer-funded security, an expert slams.
The Duke responded to losing his court fight over his security in the UK in a bombshell BBC interview – in which he blamed a number of people for not giving him what he believes is sufficient security.
The Duke chillingly suggested it would be the Firm’s fault if anything happened to him or wife Meghan Markle and that he feels unsafe to bring his children to the UK.
Broadcaster and royal biographer Hugo Vickers, 72, said it’s not unlike Harry to play the blame game and it’s about time he takes some accountability.
Vickers told The Sun: “I think he’s pointing the finger pretty much at all of us really.
“He’s always angry and so he’s sort of doing what he does so often you know which is to blame other people.
“That is what they do the whole time.
“They’re always telling us what they think and what they feel and telling us that we’re in the wrong and they’re in the right.
“He wants to attribute blame to everybody else – I mean he never seems to accept that he, himself, has done quite a few things which on the whole we don’t really like.”
After losing the appeal over receiving security for himself and his family – after battling for three-and-a-half years – Prince Harry expressed he was immensely disappointed with the verdict.
He described the defeat as a “good old fashioned establishment stitch-up” and pointed his finger at the Royal Household on swaying the decision.
“Not so much as devastated with the loss that I am about the people behind the decision feeling as if this is OK,” he added.
Asked if felt let down by his country, the Prince replied: ” I feel very let down.”
Hugo said this blaming of the Palace and the UK wouldn’t get him anywhere.
He pointed out that Duke of Windsor never had any security when he came to this country, nor the York Princesses.
A lot of the minor members of the royal family only get security from time to time.
“I think he’s sort of trapped in a rather strange and difficult situation but it’s not going to help by trying to blame everybody else,” Hugo added.
“There have been times in the past where he’s been saying I can’t do this because the royal family must apologize to me – actually I’m sorry it should really be the other way around.”
Prince Harry’s biggest bombshells:
The Duke of Sussex did reveal he would “love reconciliation” with the royal family.
It comes after years of feuding with the family, including his own brother Prince William, since he and Megan stepped down as working royals in 2020.
However, he claimed that the future of him, his family, and their relationship with the rest of his family will depend on King Charles.
Keen for the family to make up, the Duke says whether a reconciliation is on the cards will ultimately be up to his father, saying: “It’s in his hands.”
He added: “I have no idea how much longer my father has – he is no longer speaking to me – but it would be nice to reconcile.
“It would be nice to have that reconciliation part now. If they don’t want that, that’s entirely up to them.”
Harry’s most incendiary quotes

- “He [my father] won’t speak to me because of this security stuff.”
- “Some members of my family may never forgive me for writing a book.”
- “I don’t know how long he [my father] has left.”
- “There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family.”
- “I can’t see a world in which I would bring my wife and family back to the UK at this point.”
- “I’ve been treated very very very differently to anyone else who exists, past or present, I’ve been singled out.”
- “I never asked him [my father] to intervene – I asked him to step out of the way and let the experts do their jobs.”
During the interview, Harry sensationally revealed that King Charles refuses to speak to him “because of this security stuff”.
Now the longstanding security scrap is over the Duke is hoping to make amends but insists the ball is in his father’s court.
He said he felt like he had been “singled out” and treated unfairly by the Royal family.
When talking about his treatment during the security security spat he said he’d “uncovered his worst fears” and felt he was being picked on.
“I’ve been treated very very very differently to anyone else who exists, past or present, I’ve been singled out,” the Duke said.
The BBC’s former royal editor Jennie Bond told Sky News that the Royal was full of anger resentment.
She said: “He’s bristling, bristling with anger, isn’t he, Harry, and resentment. And mistrust of the royal household. And despair over his father’s attitude, I suppose.
“It’s just such a sad and sorry saga.”
Piers Morgan was less sympathetic and slammed Prince Harry for “trashing his family” in an Instagram post after the BBC interview.
Piers said: “He trashed his family as Prince Philip was dying.. he trashed his family as The Queen was dying… and now he’s trashing his family as both his father and sister-in-law have been battling cancer.
“Is there a more contemptible public figure in the world than Prince Harry?”
Buckingham Palace broke its silence after the shock interview stating they have not shifted on their position.
A Palace Spokesperson said: “All of these issues have been examined repeatedly and meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion reached on each occasion.”
