THE PRICE of a must-have Harry Potter Hogwarts LEGO set has plummeted thanks to competing discounts from two major retailers.
The incredible 6,020-piece LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043) set, which usually costs a whopping £410, has been slashed by Argos as part of its early Black Friday sale, which started today — a full four weeks ahead of the official date.

LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle, £410 £299 from Argos
Retail giant Amazon has also decided to discount the set, meaning that it’s now just £299 at both retailers.
The deals will come as relief to LEGO fans, as LEGO Black Friday deals don’t tend to appear on the official website until the end of November.
The set — famous for its intricate detail and massive build — has hit a historic low price, as it rarely dips below the £300 mark.
For the last couple of festive periods, we’ve seen this set sitting stubbornly at around £305.
The jaw-dropping £299 price tag at Argos comes with an extra layer of reassurance for shoppers.
The deal is backed by a “price guarantee” badge, meaning that Argos promises the price won’t drop any further before Christmas.
If the impossible happens and the set does get cheaper, the retailer will give you a voucher for the difference.
However, shopping at Amazon gives Prime members the instant satisfaction of free next-day delivery, meaning they can make a head start on the huge build.

The LEGO Hogwarts Castle set, which recreates the wizarding school in microscale, is a must-have for collectors and would make a great Christmas gift.
It comes complete with the Great Hall, Hagrid’s Hut, the Chamber of Secrets, the Whomping Willow, and a host of magical details — although die-hard fans might be put off by the omission of the Astronomy Tower, Library and Greenhouses.
It’s so beloved, one happy customer on Amazon described it as: “The best thing I ever bought”, adding that it is “so detailed and would keep you occupied for a while.”
Another reviewer, clearly thrilled with their purchase, summed up the sentiment: “LEGO and Harry Potter fans, this is a must-have! The LEGO Hogwarts set is an absolute delight to build.
“The design is incredibly detailed and accurate to the iconic castle from the films, and the instructions are clear, making the building process fun and rewarding. It is immensely satisfying seeing the castle come together.”
