Brighton goalkeeper Carl Rushworth is attracting immense Premier League interest amid his stunning loan stint at Coventry, reports suggest.
Rushworth, 24, has played a key role in the Sky Blues’ impressive campaign that has seen them topping the second division, which puts them in the driver’s seat for promotion to the top flight.
The keeper has been a revelation in the second tier keeping a Championship-high 13 clean sheets and only conceding 40 goals in all of his 38 league appearances.
According to talkSPORT, the ex-England Under-21 international’s heroics at Coventry Building Society Arena have attracted interest from SIX Premier League clubs ahead of next season.
This poses as a major blow for Coventry boss Frank Lampard, who wants to hold onto Rushworth and sign him one a permanent deal amid his team’s push for the Championship title.
Lampard rates his No1 so highly that he even tipped him for a future England call-up.
Brighton are believed to value the shot-stopper in the region of £20million.
And the Seagulls could opt to keep the ex-England youth international after his impressive season in the Championship.
But Fabian Hurzeler’s side may have to move fast as the goalkeeper currently only has one year remaining in his contract at the Amex Stadium.
Rushworth has been with Brighton since 2019 but has never played with the first team.

The goalie has spent almost the entirety of his seven-year spell in the Seagulls’ books out on loan.
Rushworth has played for the likes of Worthing, Walsall, Lincoln, Swansea and Hull.
But it is with Coventry where he got his big break as he has played every minute of their Championship campaign.
