PREGNANT Strictly dancer Dianne Buswell has hit out at “conspiracy theories” being shared online about her early exit with celebrity partner Stefan Dennis.
Neighbours legend Stefan, 66, pulled out of the BBC One show after suffering a horror calf muscle tear.
However, some trolls have suggested online that the real reason they left was because Dianne is expecting a baby.
Speaking on BBC Two’s It Takes Two tonight, Stefan said: “I was given the bad news that I’ve torn calf muscle quite badly to the point where I can’t dance for the rest of the competition. In fact I can’t dance full stop.”
Dianne added: “Obviously it’s definitely not a conspiracy theory. I feel great and I would love to continue with Stefan. I wish you the best in your recovery.
“You were absolutely phenomenal and I enjoyed my time with you so so so much. I’m very proud of you. It’s been so much fun.”
Dianne is the first pregnant professional to work on the show while expecting.
Questions had been raised on if the dancer would be able to go the full way in the competition.
But Dianne clapped back to rubbish any bizarre theories that her pregnancy had any part to play in actor Stefan’s exit.
She shared a post from a so-called fan who insisted they saw the early exit “coming” as a result of her pregnancy.
Ferociously hitting back at the ill-informed message, Dianne said: “I sound like a broken record but I’m seeing a bit of this floating around again!
“I know people say ignore it but actually why should I.
“I will speak up… I would love nothing more than to keep dancing this week next week the week after that so so on and so forth.
“In fact I have more energy this year than I did this time last year.
“Please respect Stefan who is extremely gutted to not be able to dance and stop presuming this was a set up! Because believe me we would if we could!”
Stefan is best known for playing ruthless businessman Paul Robinson on the soap.
The character had to have one of his legs amputated – ironically the same one which he’s torn his calf on.
