Disappointingly there’s just the one Premier League game on Boxing Day.
But it has the makings of a real classic.
Manchester United are the exciting team to watch at the minute with SIXTEEN goals scored across their last three games – nine for and seven against.
But their four-game unbeaten run was halted last time out when losing to the unstoppable train that is Aston Villa.
It came at a cost too, with several key players missing out through injury and Afcon and Bruno Fernandes’ half time departure the biggest absence of the lot.
That leaves United short in creativity and the introduction of a couple of academy players off the bench would normally be welcomed but this is more a needs must.
They go into the game in seventh spot and just three points off fourth placed Chelsea – while also being three ahead of Newcastle in 11th.
That gap could and probably should be smaller after Newcastle chucked away a 2-0 lead to draw with Chelsea last weekend.
A fantastic first half was undone in the second period but they were denied a stonewall penalty later in the game and after their derby horror show a week earlier, they owe their supporters a big performance.

You can’t really separate these two, with all Newcastle’s good work coming at home and United struggling for any real consistency.
One thing that is guaranteed at the minute is goals, with United still possessing some quality despite their injuries and Newcastle’s fragility there for all to see with their injury issues at the back.
