POUNDLAND has confirmed that a further nine stores are slated for closure in the coming weeks.
The bargain retailer has already closed over 100 locations since June 2025.

Poundland previously announced plans to shut 68 shops and two warehouses in the UK following its takeover by investment firm Gordon Brothers, putting 1,300 jobs at risk.
The retailer went on to conclude its main store closure programme in September, with 57 stores shut and a further 11 closures put on hold.
Since then, 50 more closures have been announced due to leases expiring or landlords serving notice.
A dozen Poundland locations were confirmed for closure throughout January, and now nine more have been announced for the upcoming weeks.
The closure dates, listed below with locations, will take place over the next month.
Poundland revealed these locations will be joining other stores with clearance sales, with up to 40% off all stock.
All items, including homeware, groceries, clothing, and beauty buys, will be marked down in price until they’re sold.
The clearance sales are all taking place at lease-expiry locations as Poundland continues to simplify its retail network around its best-performing sites.
This process hopes to secure the future of thousands of jobs and hundreds of stores.
Poundland expects to operate a network of around 650-700 stores, down from around 800 at the start of its restructuring.
