Police have released CCTV images after Welsh rugby star Jared Rosser’s Range Rover was stolen from an Aldi car park while he shopped inside.
The Dragons player was shopping at the supermarket in the south Wales town of Cwmbran at around midday on Tuesday when the thief struck.
The 27-year-old sportsman noticed his car keys had been taken while inside the store – then returned to the car park to find his vehicle missing.
Gwent Police are now looking for a man and woman captured on CCTV ‘who were in the store at the time and could have information to help the investigation’.
The Welsh regional rugby player reposted the police’s appeal to his own Instagram page, urging his nearly 5,000 followers to ‘please share’: ‘If anyone knows these people, please DM me.’
Security images show the people in question are both young, with the woman wearing a cream jacket and dark top, with her hair tied in a bun, and taking a phone call at one point.
The man is pictured wearing a pale top and black gilet and has short, light hair.
Mr Rosser’s vehicle – a black car, with blacked-out windows, and the registration OY69 ORS – was stolen on the same day he signed a new contract with Dragons.

A Gwent Police spokesperson said: ‘Officers making enquiries into the theft of a car from a supermarket car park in Cwmbran are looking to speak to two people who may be able to help the investigation.
‘At around 12.30pm on Tuesday 22 April, we received reports that a black Range Rover, registration OY69 ORS, was taken from Aldi’s car park on Woodside Road, Cwmbran.
‘The owner reported that they’d noticed their keys were taken while inside the store, before returning to the car park to find the car missing.
‘We’re now looking to speak to this man and woman, who were in the store at the time and could have information to help the investigation.’
The Welshman debuted with Dragons in 2017 and made his 100th appearance with them this season, having scored 32 tries to date during his eight-year stint.
The winger, who plays alongside his younger brother Ewan on the Gwent side, said: ‘It’s a place that I love turning up to every day.
‘Being here for so long already, it’s a place I’ve made some of my closest friends and working with my brother is a privilege.
‘I’m excited to finish the season strong and take some momentum into a big season next year.’

His new contract came only three days after he scored twice against Scarlets at Principality Stadium – his first tries since those against Italian team Benetton in April last year.
The former under-20s star also played for the Wales Sevens team at the World Cup in 2018.
