Pictured: Mother, 78, who died when Jaguar ploughed into her house after crash

A 78-year-old mother who was killed when a Jaguar ploughed into her home following a crash has been pictured for the first time. 

Barbara Howard died after the vehicle hit her Coventry home after it had been involved in a crash with a Volkswagen van on July 17. 

West Midlands Police were called to the scene at a junction between Shilton Lane and Lentons Lane following the collision. 

Barbara was inside when the Jaguar hit her home and was later taken to hospital, but sadly died. 

Her family have since released a tribute to the ‘caring’ and ‘glamorous mother’, ‘who loved life’.

In a heartbreaking tribute, they added: ‘Dancing mother of Debbie and Julie, our best friend was taken in the most horrific way. We love her to the moon and back.’

A probe into the car crash is currently ongoing, as specialist officers continue to support Barbara’s family. 

The force are urging anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident, to come forward.
